
Ever since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, there has been an increased interest and preoccupation in both the private and academic environments regarding the development and application of the latest technologies in order to protect human lives and infrastructures.
CGIT staff and its affiliated faculty have led the efforts towards achieving homeland security goals in a number of projects, ranging from developing tools and procedures allowing intellegence analysts to use information about data uncertainty levels, to simulating visualization of bioterrorism events in large urban areas.
