Global Agroclimatology with SANREM
Date Began: Oct 1, 2012
Date Ended: May 31, 2015
Funded by USAID, CGIT has paired with the Sustainable Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (SANREM) Innovation Lab at Virginia Tech to identify regions that have similar agroclimatology to the locations in which SANREM CRSP research has been conducted, with the final product being the Global Agroclimatology Tool. This will facilitate technology transfer to areas where adoption potential is likely to be successful. Annual rainfall, temperature regime, elevation, slope, soil type, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) were all parameters used to determine these desired locations.
